Members of Fountaingate Gardens are sharpening their short game with the grand opening of a brand-new putting green on campus. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to officially unveil the new amenity, which further enhances the independent living community’s robust offerings for recreation and wellness.
Dedicated in memory of Florence and Alexander Goldberg, parents of Fountaingate Gardens member Ed Goldberg, the professionally designed green was created with both novice and seasoned golfers in mind, offering a low-impact way for all the Fountaingate Gardens community members to remain active, socialize and enjoy the outdoors. Studies suggest that senior golf can help improve physical health, notably balance and coordination, and mental health as well by stimulating cognitive function.
“The putting green is a wonderful addition to our community,” said John Mastacciuola, Vice President and Executive Director of Fountaingate Gardens. “It’s more than just a recreational space — it encourages movement, fosters connection, and supports the vibrant, independent lifestyle our members value.”
Resort-style Amenities
The new putting green is just one part of Fountaingate Gardens’ ongoing commitment to providing enriching, resort-style living for its community members. Other amenities include a heated indoor saltwater pool, state-of-the-art fitness center, art studio, library, salon and spa, pickleball and bocce courts, walking paths, community gardens, and even a dog park—all within a vibrant and supportive campus. From wellness and dining to lifelong learning and leisure, the community offers a full continuum of care and an environment designed to promote purpose and well-being at every stage of life
